Located about 12 miles west of Eddie Cochran's birthplace, the Tail Fins Malt Shop features the Eddie Cochran Room.

A local artist creates the prints for the Eddie Cochran Festival every year, and those prints (along with various other Eddie Cochran memorabilia) are displayed at this malt shop.

Early rock and roll legend Eddie Cochran ("Summertime Blues", "C'mon Everybody") was born and raised in Albert Lea, MN.

The Freeborn County Historical Society Museum has a permanent Eddie Cochran exhibit that includes gold records, vintage 45s and 78s, memorabilia, photos, and a pair of Eddie's leather pants from his English tour.

In the sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, there is a protracted car chase scene involving a tank rolling over cars on a highway.

That scene was filmed on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. According to FF director and producers, the Tenerife government pretty much gave the crew carte blanche to wreak havoc on the road. While many of the stunts were performed on a green screen in post, the tank really did run over 250 cars. Sweet...

Located just south of Interstate 8 near the Mexicali border is Buttercup Valley, the filming site for Jabba's Barge and the Sarlacc pit scenes from Return of the Jedi.

salisbury cathedral

Boasting the tallest cathedral spire in the United Kingdom (23m/404 ft), the Salisbury Cathedral was completed from 1220 to 1258.

In addition, the cathedral contains the world's oldest working clock (circa 1386) and has the best surviving of the four original copies of the Magna Carta.

The Magna Carta (written in 1215) was one of the first documents where individuals, i.e. feudal barons, asserted their rights against divine monarchy. The lineage of the document can be directly linked to the American Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, among other documents.

In other news, Jay-Z was inspired by the lines in the Magna Carta for his new album MC/HG: "To no one will we sell, to no one will we deny or delay, right or justice."
