Much of The Dark Knight, the second part of Nolan's Batman trilogy, was filmed in Chicago. The former Brach’s candy factory on Chicago's West Side, which shut down in 2003, was used for the exterior of Gotham General Hospital, and it's the administration building that we see getting demolished for the sequence when the Joker blows it up.

The storefront for the office of Bob Odenkirk's sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad is in a strip mall on the corner of Montgomery and Eubank in Albuquerque, although currently (as of 2012) a metal club called Hooligans has taken over the space.

When the State Theatre opened in 1921, it was considered one of the most technologically advanced and elaborate theatre in the United States. Designed by architect J.E.O Pridmore in a free Italian Renaissance style, it featured a well-driven air conditioning system and a stage made of glass that allowed for dramatic lighting underneath.
In 2012, Lewis Black recorded a performance here for the TV movie, In God We Rust. I watched ten minutes of it and didn't laugh, so I turned it off.
