In a small booth on the fifth floor of 57 Kirchenallee (also known as the Klockmann-House), the Fab Four recorded together for the first time.
On October 18, 1960, the Beatles manager, Alan Williams, had arranged for them to do play and sing harmonies as a backup for the Hurricane's singer Lou Walters. Since Pete Best was buying drumsticks, the Hurricane's drummer Ringo Starr sat in on the recording. This was the first time Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Starr recorded together.
They recorded three songs: "Fever", "September Song" and "Summertime".
