This is the address of University Radio and Electronics where Philip K. Dick worked in 1944 when he was fifteen. It was one of two Berkeley shops owned by Herb Hollis (the other was Art Music a few blocks away). Here Dick worked as a clerk selling radios, tvs, and appliances. The owner Herb Hollis would become the inspiration for Leo Bulero in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.
